4. Who started BeltlineLiving.Com and why?

Three Atlanta natives founded BeltlineLiving.Com in early 2006. Each of the founders grew up intown and experienced first-hand the joys and frustrations of Atlanta city life—beautiful residential areas but a dormant downtown; tons of trees and greenery but few parks and greenspaces in which to enjoy them; easy access to numerous vibrant neighborhoods but overwhelming traffic congestion on the roads that led to them, and so on. We were each excited to learn about the Beltline because it seemed to offer a solution to these problems: an intown transportation network that would liberate Atlantans from their cars and transform Atlanta into a truly vibrant urban city. The more we learned about the Beltline, and the more excited we became, the more we recognized a need for an independent website like ours to get the word out—whether good, bad or ugly. Our goal with this website is not to promote the Beltline project but, rather, to publicize it, engender debate about it and answer your questions related to it. 5. Does BeltlineLiving.Com support the Beltline project?

BeltlineLiving.Com does not actively promote or support the Beltline project. We are not afraid to state, however, that we believe in the Beltline project and hope for its success. Whatever the problems with the Beltline (and there are many), we believe they are outweighed by the potential benefits to Atlanta's economy and environment and the quality of life of its residents.
